Terms of Service of Funding Campaign

Purpose
  • CrowdTales funding campaigns allow supporters (“Contributors”) to help sustain and grow the platform and its mission to spread the joy of reading and writing.
  • Contributions are voluntary and non-refundable acts of support.
  • They do not grant ownership, equity, or governance rights over CrowdTales.
Nature of Rewards
  • As a token of gratitude, CrowdTales may grant symbolic digital recognitions (“Rewards”), such as badges, names displayed on contributor pages, or other honorary mentions.
  • These Rewards are honorary only and hold no monetary value.
  • Badges and recognitions are non-transferable.
  • They represent appreciation for your contribution at that time, not a permanent entitlement or service.
Duration of Recognition
  • Digital recognitions (e.g., badges, contributor names, or social media mentions) will remain visible as long as the CrowdTales website or its successor platform continues to operate under its current mission and ownership.
  • CrowdTales reserves the right to modify, relocate, or retire any recognition features (including badges, contributor lists, or titles) for design, technical, or operational reasons.
  • In the event CrowdTales ceases operation, merges, or rebrands, all associated recognitions may expire or be archived without further obligation.
Ownership & Content
  • All creative materials, trademarks, and content on CrowdTales remain the property of CrowdTales or its creators.
  • Displaying your name, alias, or social media handle on the platform does not imply co-ownership or authorship of the platform, brand, or its content.
Display Names and Social Media Handles
  • To celebrate our Contributors, CrowdTales may display your chosen username or social media handle on public pages (such as the “Characters” or “Supporters” lists).
  • You confirm that your submitted display name and social media handle do not contain offensive, hateful, violent, or pornographic language, nor promote discrimination or illegal activity.
  • CrowdTales reserves the sole right to review, edit, or remove any name, alias, or handle deemed inappropriate or harmful to the community or brand image.
  • Removal or editing of such content does not affect your contribution status or badge ownership, only its public display.
  • You may request removal or anonymization of your displayed information at any time by contacting support.
Privacy & Consent
  • By contributing, you consent to CrowdTales displaying your name, alias, or handle publicly for recognition purposes.
  • No private data (such as email or payment information) will ever be shown publicly.
  • CrowdTales values privacy and will only use contributor information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
No Financial Return
  • Contributions are not investments.
  • Contributors understand and agree that they will not receive dividends, profits, or equity as a result of their support.
Amendments
  • CrowdTales may update these Terms periodically to reflect new features, campaigns, or legal requirements.
  • Significant changes will be communicated in advance via the platform or official channels.
