This page explains the terms of service of CrowdTales.io (“the Platform”).

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CrowdTales.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.



2. Changes to These Terms

CrowdTales may update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Platform means you accept the updated Terms.



3. Purpose of the Platform

CrowdTales is an interactive storytelling game where users create and continue stories together for fun and creativity. The Platform is provided for entertainment and community purposes, not for commercial publishing.



4. Content Ownership

All stories, text, images, and creative content created within CrowdTales are considered part of the CrowdTales world. By playing or submitting content, you assign all rights, title, and interest in those creations to CrowdTales. This allows us to store, adapt, remix, and share your work as part of the game, our events, or future projects (such as books, films, or adaptations). Contributors will always be credited when their works or characters are featured or adapted. You may still share your own story snippets or screenshots personally (e.g., on social media), provided you credit CrowdTales as the origin.



5. Collaborative Stories

Many stories on CrowdTales are created by multiple users. No single user may delete or claim exclusive rights over a collaborative story. Each contributor’s work becomes part of a shared creation that belongs to the CrowdTales world. CrowdTales may archive or remove collaborative stories if required for moderation, technical, or legal reasons.



6. Content Deletion and Platform Closure

You may delete your personal account at any time. However, your previously submitted stories and content may remain within the CrowdTales world for preservation, moderation, or continuity reasons. If CrowdTales discontinues the Platform, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance and may offer a limited opportunity to download personal story records. CrowdTales is not responsible for data loss resulting from deletion or service discontinuation.



7. Prohibited Content

You may not post or share any content containing: Pornography or sexually explicit material Racism, hate speech, or discrimination Personal attacks, harassment, or defamation Any material violating law or third-party rights CrowdTales may remove such content or suspend accounts without prior notice.



8. Funding and Contributions

Funding campaigns and badge purchases are governed by our separate Funding Terms. By participating in any campaign, you agree to those additional terms.



9. Termination

CrowdTales may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or community rules. We may also remove or archive content that disrupts the experience of others or damages the community.



10. Disclaimer

CrowdTales is provided “as is.” We make no guarantees that the Platform will always operate without errors or interruptions. Use of the Platform is at your own discretion and risk.
