The game he played

For as long as she remember, Anna was haunted. Haunted by memories of him. Every breath. Every thought was consumed by him. But what Anna didn't know was that his presence in her life was no mere coincidence - it was all part of the game he played. On a summer evening, she was looking our of her window when in the back of her mind, she felt a brush of a shadow. "Hello there. Miss me?" "I uh, uh, what are you doing in her dreams?" Anna stammered, her heart racing as she tried to make sense of the surreal encounter. But no, it wasn't a dream, not really. When she opened her eyes, he was still there. Always present, always watching, always waiting for the moment to strike. The game he played was more intricate than she could have ever imagined, and Anna was just a mere pawn in his twisted scheme of manipulation. "I know you can hear me, don't pretend I am a dream. It's offensive, darling." Anna gasped, unsure of what to say. What to do. "Leave me alone." The shadowy figure chuckled softly, his voice echoing in Anna's mind as he whispered, "Oh, but darling, I'm not here to leave. I'm here to play." And with that, the game he played took a dark and unexpected turn, trapping Anna in a web of secrets and deceit she never saw coming. She looked at the information the shadowy figured shared in her mind's eye, "This.... it can't be real" "Do you remember how when you left me I told you you would regret it if y ou betrayed me, Anna?" His words sent a chill down her spine, realization dawning upon her that this was no ordinary game - it was a battle of wits and wills that she was dangerously unprepared for. Anna tried to figure out the shadow's name. "Who are you? What do you want from me?" And with a wicked grin, the shadowy figure leaned in closer and whispered, "I am the ghost of your past, present, and future, Anna. And what I want from you? Everything."He's in my head, it's okay, he's not real. Anna whispered under her breath, frantically closing all her eyelids. The voice returned. I am your uncle Ern est, Anna, and I am here to show you the true nature of the game he played, a game that goes far beyond what you can comprehend.Anna choked on her saliva, having found the voice attractive, now she was disgusted because she didnt know he was her uncle. "I am not related to you honey. " Oh phew. Anna said I thought y e was a secret admirer or stalker." A sense of relief washed over Anna momentarily, but deep down, she knew that the truth behind the game played by the mysterious figure was far more complex and sinister than she could ever fathom.
