Allie pushed her hair back from her face and groaned. "Christmas time already? What am I going to get for mom? And Dad! And what about Chrissy and Ben?"
She took a lick of the peppermint stick she was holding and looked at her friend. "What do you think?"

Her friend shrugged and suggested, "How about a family trip instead of gifts this year? A holiday getaway where we can all relax and have fun together."
