And Now What?
It was a cheerful morning for all the members in the Galactus Society... Everyone was enjoying the pleasant air of the morning dew of Autumn... Everyone but Dave. Dave, usually the life of the party, seemed lost in his own thoughts as his friends chatted and laughed around him.He heard a random giggle and was not sure where it was coming from. He turned around to check if something was in the attic. He saw nothing unusual enough to catch his attention though. As he was about to turn back, he noticed a shadowy figure lurking in the corner of the attic... The figure seemed to be whispering something inaudible, sending shivers down Dave's spine.Dave has spines all over him as he turned to see who it was . A weird looking man whispered, "Why so serious ?".Dave looked away from the shadow in the attic and started talking to the man,"Nothing much sir, just not off to a good start today. I am sure a coffee would be a saviour right now. Mind joining me to a walk to the Cafe?", asked Dave. and Now what? The weird man nodded silently, his eyes gleaming with an odd intensity as he followed Dave out of the attic, leaving behind an eerie presence that lingered in the air.Had Dave known who he really was, he would have dared to ask him for coffee. What a big mistake he had made ! Dave led the man into the nearby coffee shop where they talked about the general affairs of their lives. Dave asked," Oh I am so excited for tonight's SuperBowl game. I am a Die-Hard fan of the Fire-Hawks, surely they would win over the Raging Bulls." The Man replied, "No they didn't win the Finals, they got disqualified in the quarters." Dave said, "Wait a minute! The match was fixed? The weird man nodded with a mischievous grin, revealing himself to be the infamous match-fixer who had orchestrated the Fire-Hawks' disqualification, plunging Dave into a whirlwind of confusion and disbelief.
